Have you ever wondered why does popcorn pop?

Each kernel has some starch in it.  When it gets hot, the moisture turns to steam.  That steam makes it explode.

How long has popcorn been around?

For a very long time.  Native Americans ate popcorn and used it as decoration for ceremonial headdresses and ornaments.

Is popcorn really healthy?

Yes!  It is a grain, so it gives our bodies carbohydrates.  In other words, we get energy from popcorn.

How high can popcorn pop?

Up to 3 feet in the air.

How much popcorn does the average American consume?

54 quarts per year, which is about 17 billion quarts in the US alone.

How much milk does a cow produce each day and year?

A cow produces around 8 gallons per milking day.  Their output per year is between 2,100 gallons to 2,300 gallons.

What cows produce milk?

Holstein, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Ayrshire, Jersey, and Milking Shorthorn.

How much food does a cow eat per day?

Cows eat over 90 pounds every day.  They eat corn silage, corn, cottonseed, grass, and hay.
