Shopping Tips
- Stock up on glue, crayons, scissors, etc., when they go on sale for back to school in the fall. Many times the items are greatly reduced in price. This past season I saw glue for 10 cents a bottle. You might not need the glue for several months, but when you do, it will be there and you did not have to pay much for it.
- Look in clearance bins at discount retailers and other stores. There might be some great items that you can create with.
- Shop in your pantry. Macaroni comes in many different shapes, and colors. Cereal can be used as well as crackers, fruit, or vegetables. For example, cut an apple slice and dip in paint. Then paint with the apple slice.
- Look in your mail or garbage. Junk mail can come with colored paper, ribbons, pictures, etc., that you can use to create with. Also the different shape boxes or cans that food products are packaged in can be used for different crafts.
