New Jersey Utility to Install Solar Panels to Increase Renewable Energy Output

PSE&G, New Jersey's largest utility has launched a new program to install over 200,000 solar panels on utility poles.

The solar panels will generate 120 megawatts of energy, or 1% of the state's total usage.  The energy will flow into the power grid and offset the need for non-renewable energy.

The program will also install solar panels at schools, low-income housing, and municipal buildings.
